A solo collage piece made from items collected during my exchange in Japan, shown as part of a group exhibition in Tokyo.
During my exchange semester at Waseda University in Tokyo, I collected things: magazine clippings, receipts, napkins, tickets, packaging, and other fragments of daily life in Japan.
At the end of the exchange, I assembled everything into a collage that documents the experience. Not a curated highlight reel, but an honest accumulation of the small things that made up being there.
The piece was shown as part of the (more than)^2 human exhibition, a group show exploring art that extends or reframes the human experience.
