I'm Dewi, a Franco-Indonesian software engineer and creative developer. I enjoy building things at the crossroads of technology and art, from full-stack web apps to interactive installations and research projects.
I started out studying Computer Science at TU Delft before moving into Information Technology at Inholland Hogeschool, where I worked on real client projects in a team and graduated with merit and honours.
During my studies I did an internship at DEPT, a digital agency in Rotterdam, and then the municipalluty of Amsterdam. I started building features in C# .NET and Umbraco CMS, and by the end I was proactively developing and maintaining production websites. That experience taught me what it actually means to write code that has to keep running while working in Agile/Scrum with a team.
After that I took a more creative turn and joined the Creative Intelligence and Technology master's programme at Leiden University. I spent a semester at Waseda University in Tokyo along the way. The programme pushed me to combine programming with art and research in ways I hadn't considered before. I built games, installations, AIs, and art pieces, and I conducted research that was anything but conventional.
Outside of work I pursue artistis endeavours, such as drawing, writing, and scratching my head at learning new board games
