Interpretation of Experiences
This project was created for the Sciences & Humanities course of the Creative Intelligence and Technology programme at Leiden Univeristy.

Spiky-haired character = SK. Smooth-haired character = SM.
This comic looks into perception, interpretation, and narrative. There are two layers.
In the first row, the SK can only interpret SM's words through their experiences. In the second row, SK gets a more detailed explanation, but it is still said (image in a speech bubble), so SK has a more detailed interpretation. Instead of being told about the vacation in the last row, they are shown a picture. However, it is still inaccurate compared to SM's image because everything that is perceived by one person will never be the same as that of another person.
The second layer is how understanding more changes a person. In the first row, the last panel has the same art style as the first because SK's interpretation depends on their own experiences. The last row's panel is, however, more realistic because they now understand an experience vastly differently from their prior interpretation, changing themselves even more.
